Christmas concert with the Oberwalliser Brass Quintet
The OBQ was founded in 2022. It is a classical brass quintet consisting of two trumpets, a French horn, a trombone and a bass trombone. The five professional musicians from Upper Valais, Georges Martig and Tobias Salzgeber (trumpet), Marcial Holzer (French horn), Patrik Forny (trombone) and Benjamin Minnig (bass trombone), are passionate about chamber music for brass instruments. It is important to them to be able to present exciting and varied concerts to an interested audience.
The Oberwalliser Brass Quintet has already been able to inspire audiences with its two programmes "Venezianische Zwischenhalte" and "Gegenüberstellungen". The OBQ's repertoire is varied and ranges from early music and modern original compositions to light music.
