Via ferrata Aletsch

at the Gibidum reservoir

The Via Ferrata Aletsch leads along the cliff, around the Gibidum reservoir. It is well secured by iron steps, wire ropes and railings, but still has some quite demanding sections.

The 80-metre-long and 40-metre-high Nepal Bridge, which crosses the Massa at the mouth of the Gibidum reservoir, is a particular thrill.

Please note when the water level is high: There is a section of the via ferrata that is under water when the water level is high. However, there is another via ferrata section above this point to avoid the water. Please pay attention to the alternative via ferrata route at this section.
