Parsonage Naters
The oldest part of the rectory is the residential tower in the east from the 12th century, to the west side of which a wooden house was added in 1461 and 1661, which was later walled in. This gave the building a strangely ambivalent character, which was further emphasised during the restoration in 1974 / 1975 under the supervision of the Federal and Cantonal Monument Preservation Offices, so that today the rustic-looking east side contrasts with the finely plastered west side.
