Lötschberg Bridge

Many wonderful hikes lead along the BLS Lötschberg mountain railway, which is over 100 years old, from Hohtenn via Ausserberg, Eggerberg and Lalden to Naters or Brig.

The south ramp
The first railway hiking trail in Europe fascinates with alpine and southern vegetation, water-bearing bisses, spectacular railway buildings and great views, but also with cosy benches and exciting information boards and panoramas.

The 26-kilometre "Lötschberg south ramp" hike can be hiked in its entirety or in sections. The newest section, Lalden-Naters, was opened in 2013.
