Summer Tüürli - tasting hike

from 79 CHF

Route

The hike starts at the mountain station of the Blatten-Belalp cable car. From there, take the hiking trail down to Alpe Bäll. Lunch awaits hungry hikers at the Hamilton Lodge. After lunch, continue to the stream below the Lüsgersee  and then via Lüsgersee to the Aletschbord. The last section of the trail leads back to the Tyndall mountain hut at the Belalp mountain station.

7 kilometres

The Tüürli leads through typical May meadows, across pastures and along small streams to the Aletsch Glacier.

Games

In addition to culinary delights, a game awaits you at three stations. Fun for young and old alike.

300 metres in altitude

You can conquer the most metres in altitude with the cable car. On the Tüürli, you only have to climb 300 metres in altitude.

5 stations

A wine and/or beer is presented at each of the five stations. You will also learn exciting facts about Alpine life in Valais.

1 lunch

The hearty lunch at Hamilton Lodge is included.

Important information

Collection of starter packs and keys

One glass with holder can be collected per participant at the Belalp Bahnen AG valley station, Rischinustrasse 5, 3914 Blatten near Naters.

One group leader is appointed per group.

The group leader reports to the railway staff and receives a form. They enter their personal details on the form and have each group member sign the relevant field. After handing in the form and showing their confirmation of registration (printed out or on their mobile phone) and depositing their ID, they will receive the key for the 5 stations from the railway staff. The ID will be returned to him/her by the railway staff after completion of the hike and return of the key.

If the key is lost, the group leader will be charged a fee of CHF 100, which must be paid before the ID is returned. The amount will be used to equip the stations with new locks.

Aerial cableway

The aerial cableway ticket is not included in the Tüürli. The Blatten-Belalp aerial cableway is part of the public transport network and GA and Half-Fare travelcards are valid. The route can be booked as normal via the SBB app or at the ticket counter.

1x1

At each station, each participant can take a glass of wine (or a bottle of beer) from the container.

We focus on simplicity and trust with our Tüürli. Participants are on their own and help themselves at the stations. The starting time and the respective speed can be determined by the participants themselves.

One glass is not enough? - No problem

Of course, we will be delighted if you like what you taste. If one glass or bottle is not enough, you are welcome to pour more. In this case, please put the corresponding amount in the cash box provided for this purpose  (in the milk jug)  or simply transfer it via Twint. The respective prices can also be found at the cash desk.

Clean and report any broken glass

The glasses are sturdy, but if you break one, please clean it as well as possible and send us a short text message (or a Snapchat). Especially at the busy stations, people are sometimes travelling barefoot. We want to take care of their property.

Responsibility

By signing the registration form, participants confirm that:

- They are 16 years or older (does not apply to the Syrup Tüürli).
- They are insured.

Please report any irregularities or damage to us immediately.

Cindy Schnydrig: 079 317 93 58

In the event of an unreported offence, the group leader will be charged for the damage caused and the resulting expenses.
