The Salwald Restaurant is located on a beautiful, sunny plateau in the Meinimatte at 1,600 metres above sea level. From here you have the ideal starting point for hikes, for example along the "Wyssa" water pipeline or through the tunnel into the Gredetsch valley. A trip to the Gersthorn is also recommended, from where you have a magnificent view of the Valais mountains.
