Gianni Genussatelier

Gianni Genussatelier

Bistro, delicatessen shop, courses, events and lots of wine.

Take your time. Sit back and relax. Forget the daily grind. Just feel good.

Without a lot of frills. Pure. Unconstrained. Per dü.

Simply at Gianni's.

Bistro

Italian coffee culture. A few treats on a plate. A look into the show kitchen. A bowl of salad on the table. And a glass of wine in your hand. Because no great stories have ever started with just salad.

From Wednesday to Friday, we always conjure up something fresh and healthy on your plate at lunchtime. Friday and Saturday we are also there for you in the evening: We don't have a menu. Just a wine list. Let us surprise you with our culinary delights. You'll be delighted.

Gianni's delicatessen

You can also bring a touch of Gianni's Genussatelier home with you. From our delicatessen in the cellar. And we are convinced: You and your mood are sure to return with a wine from the cellar. Or perhaps with a bottle of the purest olive oil.

Whatever you fancy. Just drop by.

Our assortment ranges from excellent coffee and high-quality Länggass tea to fine wine glasses and delicious pasta sauces, pure olive oil and spices from all over the world.

Learn all about wines: Wine courses

Gianni's cellar contains over 100 different wines.

As a qualified Swiss wine sommelier and with WSET Level 3 (Wine & Spirits Education Trust), he definitely has a knack for exquisite wines.

He knows his stuff. And he knows it well. Ask him. He loves to philosophise about wine. At the moment, biodynamic viticulture, orange wines, natural wines, vins vivants are very popular and are sought after and appreciated by many. Gianni can tell you a lot about this. Nevertheless, traditional viticulture is still at the forefront for many guests.

Gianni has embarked on further training at the Wine Academy Austria (Swiss location is Wädenswil at the ZHAW). However, when and whether he will complete this is still up in the air. The reason for this is his bijou - the Genussatelier, which enjoys his full attention alongside his family.

Together with a winemaker friend, Gianni even produces his own wines. He simply calls the "brand" of the house brand: 1703! The year the listed house by the old lime tree was built.

He enjoys sharing his knowledge about wine with people who are interested in it. Gianni therefore offers tastings, wine courses and training sessions every few months.
